The iron bridge, the rabelos with their barrels, and the city stacked up the far bank. A Porto tile made to order in Porto itself. Three sizes from 20 EUR.
The Dom Luís I bridge on its great iron arch, and behind it the city going up the hill in ochre and terracotta with a white church on the skyline. Two rabelos out on the water with the barrels aboard, a vine heavy with grapes leaning over the quay, and a port barrel standing at the water's edge.
Fado Gato sits on the quay beside the barrel, back turned, watching the boats come in. This is the one region he does not have to travel to.
Porto is where the studio is, and where every tile in this collection is made.
