Andorinhas e Amor Gift Set

In Portugal the swallow is the bird of departure and return. It leaves for the winter and comes back every spring, often to the very same nest, and Portuguese homes have kept ceramic swallows on show since the late 19th century.

Andorinhas e Amor puts that meaning on three flat azulejo tiles framed in the same blue border. One swallow flies in cobalt blue, the other in orange, gold and blue, and the third tile is a flaming Sacred Heart in red and gold above the word Amor.

Swallows for love, loyalty and coming home, and a heart for the love itself. A gift for a wedding, an anniversary, a new home, or someone a long way from theirs.

Made to order in Porto on glazed ceramic, for indoor display. Three sizes, from 54 €.
