Rosa Mística

Rosa Mística, the Mystical Rose, is one of the titles of Our Lady in the Litany of Loreto, which Pope Sixtus V approved in 1587. In Latin the line reads Rosa mystica, ora pro nobis, Mystical Rose, pray for us.

Here Our Lady wears a veil of deep plum with a golden halo and holds a single rose to her heart. Garden roses in blush, rose and burgundy bloom around her, and baroque scrolls in plum and gold frame the scene, with “Rosa Mística” lettered on a cartouche below.

A gift for anyone who prays the rosary or keeps a Marian corner at home, and a gentle devotional piece for a shelf, a desk or a tile stand.

Made to order in Porto on glazed ceramic, for indoor display. Three sizes from 20 €.
