O Peregrino and A Peregrina

People have walked to Santiago for more than a thousand years. O Peregrino and A Peregrina are our artists' own take on those pilgrims. Each wears a cloak and a wide-brimmed hat with the scallop shell pinned on, staff in hand, a gourd for water, heading for the church on the hill.

Each is set in an ornate Baroque frame of cobalt, gold, rose and green, in the spirit of the grand tile panels in Portugal's churches and manor houses. O Peregrino has the Portuguese coat of arms at the foot of the tile. A Peregrina has a shell.

Choose one, two of the same, or both as a pair for 10% less than two single tiles. Give them to a pilgrim, to friends who walked together, to a couple, a parent and child, or a whole family. Keep them side by side, or give one to each person.

Made to order in Porto on glazed ceramic, for indoor display. Three sizes from 20 €.
