Sardine Gift Set

On the night of 12 to 13 June, Lisbon celebrates Santo António with street parties in the old neighbourhoods, and grilled sardines are a must. Since 2003 the sardine has been the emblem of the city's June festivities.

This set puts four Portuguese sardine tins on four azulejo tiles. Sardinhas em Azeite comes in green, em Escabeche in red with onion and bay leaf, em Tomate com Piri-Piri in orange, and em Azeite com Limão in yellow. Every tin sits under the same blue and white azulejo arch, with fishing folk on either side, so the four tiles read as one scene.

A gift for someone who misses June in Portugal, or for anyone who loves a good tin of sardines.

Made to order in Porto on glazed ceramic, for indoor display. Three sizes, from 72 €.
