Cherry trees in full fruit, the Serra da Estrela under snow, a stone smokehouse. A Beira Interior tile made to order in Porto. Three sizes from 20 EUR.

A cherry tree heavy enough that the branches are coming down, a basket filled underneath it with a checked cloth over the side, and the Serra da Estrela white at the top behind the village. In the corner, a stone doorway with cured meats hanging in the cool.

Fado Gato is on the wall beside the cherries, which is the correct place to be in June.
